Right now, the Brave and Barefoot Dance Troupe is fully committed to bringing the Bernie Boogie, our dance and song, to the nation. We have worked with Jon Alvin, a local music producer, and Amelia Stamsta, a folk singer, to produce the song. Most of the Dance Troupe's voices are also in the song -- notably Ryan Rimkus, who wrote and sang the main lyrics.

The Latino immigrant community and Syrians refugees are calling to a press conference to announce a walk from Chicago to Cleveland Ohio to the Republican Convention on July 18, 2016 to demand Justice for the Immigrant community and a Immigration Reform.
They will be walking from Chicago to Cleveland Ohio, to the Republican Convention to demand Justice for all immigrants .
This is an important political moment for us to stand united against hatred, racism, gynophobia , exploitation and deportation. It is very important to continue fighting for our rights and to demand to the republican convention an Immigration reform ,so it can bring Justice to all the Immigrant communities to end to deportation all together and keep our families together.

Pilsen Area Soil Site
Environmental Protection Agency is asking owners of over 100 properties in a portion of the Pilsen neighborhood for permission to take samples in their yards and gardens for lead-contaminated soil.
The specific residential area -- referred to as Operable Unit 2 -- is bounded by 18th Place to the north, an alley halfway between Allport Street and Racine Avenue to the east, 21st Street to the south, and Loomis Street to the west. There are about 178 residential properties in this 25-acre OU2 site. About 121 of the properties have non-permanent covers in their yards such as bare soil, grass or gravel and are the focus of EPA's outreach.
