What is a Uniform Motion?
A body is in uniform motion if it travels an equal distance in equal interval of time in the same direction. The graph of an object in uniform motion will be a straight line with a constant slope. The slope of the graph will give the velocity of that object.
Example of Uniform Motion:
An example of uniform motion is when a car does not accelerate and moves in constant speed. This means that the car covers a distance of "x" meters from point A to B in "t" seconds and same distance i.e. "x" meters from point B to C in "t" seconds.
What is Nonuniform Motion?
A body is said to be in non-uniform motion if it does not cover the same distance in equal intervals of time. The graph of an object in non-uniform motion will be a curve and not a straight line.
Example of Nonuniform Motion:
In case of a non uniform motion, the car will cover "x" meters from point A to B in "t" seconds but will not cover the same "x" meters from point B to C in "t" seconds i.e. the car will not have a constant speed.
